What is reflexology?

Reflexology has a history that can be traced back up to 4,000 years ago.  It is a natural therapy based on the principle that every organ or part of the body has a corresponding reflex area on the feet. By applying gentle pressure it can help release any blockages along the energy pathways and stimulates the flow of energy to the corresponding body part.  This stimulates the body's ability to heal itself, physically, emotionally and helps to restore balance of the body.

Hot Stone Reflexology

What is Hot Stone Reflexology?

Using hot stones in a reflexology treatment, allows the reflex pathways to fully open-up bringing about a deeper sense of relaxation.  Hot stones are used to massage the lower leg to release all tension in the calf muscles which increases energy flow and makes the reflexology treatment itself more effective. Smaller stones are used on the reflex areas on the feet to release blocked areas thereby enhancing the healing process.

How Can Hot Stone Reflexology help?

In addition to all the benefits of a reflexology treatment Hot Stones can heighten the level of relaxation achieved during the treatment, and by lowering stress levels prepares the body for healing.

Hot Stone Reflexology can be effective for:

  • reduce stress & anxiety

  • promote well being

  • induces deep relaxation

  • warms and relaxes muscles in the legs and feet

  • aids deeper treatment on blocked areas

  • improves blood circulation and lymphatic drainage

  • release tension in connective tissue

FACIAL REFLEXOLOGY

Facial Reflexology

What is Facial Reflexology?

Facial Reflexology focuses on the reflex areas on the face.  Similar to Foot Reflexology, by stimulating areas on the face it can help stimulate the body’s healing mechanism. A poppy seed and Native American healing herb facial oil is used with this treatment which rejuvenates and hydrates the skin.  Facial Reflexology can naturally stimulate collagen and elastin which gives the effect of tighter, plumper-looking skin.

Because the face is so close to the brain, stimulating the facial reflex points which directly connects to the body’s neuro-pathways can boost the immune system and improve concentration.

How can Facial Reflexology help?

  • firm facial muscles, reduce/prevent fine lines & wrinkles

  • reduce stress and anxiety

  • improve lymphatic drainage

  • relieve mental strain & improves concentration

  • relieve sinusitis & congestion

  • relieve headaches & migraines

  • relieve sinus problems, migraines, TMJ, Bruxism, Bell’s Palsy

  • promote healing
